ABOUT ME

Hello! My name is Joni Inlow. I have always been interested in art and have tried my hand at many different types of art along the way.  I have now been sculpting since November 2004 and love it!

I have been married to my husband Marty for 16 years. We have 4 beautiful children ranging in ages from 22-12. We also have 3 grandchildren!

Growing up, life's circumstances allowed me the privledge of spending much of my time with my grandparents in a small town in Auburn, IN.  Imagine the most loving, caring and genuine people you've ever met, this was them!  These two people taught me the true meaning of unconditional love and I am very thankful for that.  My grandparents called me "Dolly" when I was a little girl. They are both now passed, but their impression on me lives on.   I miss them so much.   I can only hope that some of the loving, kind traits that my grandparents displayed so effortlessly will be passed through me to my children and for many more generations to come.  When I was a little girl I loved dolls and was intrigued by the ''miniature world''.  Some of my fondest memories were when my grandma would sit and play dolls with me for hours. She would help me wash their clothes by hand and then we would hang them out to dry. She was such a gem! :)

Thank you for taking the time to learn more about me. I hope you enjoy my babies as much as I love createing them.

ABOUT MY DOLLS
I use professional doll makers clay to create my dolls.  No molds are ever used. You can rest assured that my babies are made with lots of time and attention to detail.  My babies are such a joy to create, and I hope you feel the same when you hold one.  My babies are sculpted in a smoke free environment.

HOW I STARTED
After working in a factory for eight years,  although I made a good income and had good benefits, my hearts desire was to be at home and available for my family while also being able to earn an income.
One particular Fall day, while at work, I prayed that God would bring something to me.  Within weeks, while surfing Ebay, I stumbled across little OOAK (One Of A Kind) dolls made of clay.  After reviewing many dolls, I thought to myself, "I can do this!"
I then began to research the art of doll-sculpting.  As I began my research, I found no tutorials available to help someone get started.  I had to contact several artists to find out what supplies were needed as well as the various techniques used to create the dolls.  Then, I gathered the supplies that I needed and decided to give it a try.
Looking back at those early days, to my amusement, my first doll looked like "ET"! I think I even forgot to put ears on it!  Many more ET look-a-likes followed, but because of my intense passion for sculpting, I continued.
Today, my dolls have been adopted by doll collectors throughout the United States and all over the world, including, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, Czech Republic, England, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Italy, Ireland, Japan, Malaysia, The Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Russia, Singapore, Switzerland, Spain, and The United Kingdom.
In 2010 I was honored to be featured in Lifelike Dolls Magazine and in 2011,  I signed a contract with Ashton Drake Galleries and they released a collection of my dolls called "Heaven's Littlest Angels."
I truly enjoy sculpting these little creations and am excited about what the future holds for what started out with a prayer and a lump of clay!

A SPECIAL THANK YOU
I would like to extend a very special thank you to all of my customers that have adopted my babies!  I have enjoyed doing business with each of you and cherish the friendships I have formed with you.  You make what I do interesting and fun!

And most importantly, I want to thank God for giving me this talent .   I would not be at the place I am today without HIM!
